BUDWEISER SHARELUNKER PROGRAM SEEKS LUNKER RECEIVING SITES
ATHENS, Texas-The Budweiser ShareLunker program is looking for people willing to help care for big largemouth bass that anglers donate to the program.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) fisheries biologist David Campbell will travel anywhere in the state to retrieve a big fish with the goal of having the fish receiving care within 12 hours of being caught.
TOYOTA TEXAS BASS CLASSIC PARTNERS WITH PAA TOURNAMENT SERIES
Lake Conroe, Texas – The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) has announced a monumental partnership with the Professional Anglers Association (PAA) to be the championship event of the inaugural PAA Tournament Series. The PAA Tournament Series is a three-event competition that brings the best anglers from all professional levels together for the first time in history. The TTBC will now be held October 16 – 18 on Lake Conroe, as the culmination of this historic event.
ALABAMA TAKES STEPS TO CONSERVE LARGE CATFISH
To maintain high quality catfish fishing in Alabama, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources? Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division has enacted a new regulation. Only one catfish longer than 34 inches may be harvested each day by an angler. Live blue catfish or flathead catfish longer than 34 inches cannot be transported out of Alabama without approval in writing from the Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources. This regulation only affects catfish 34 inches or longer.
