2009 WALMART BASS FISHING LEAGUE ENTRY DATES SET
BENTON, Kentucky – FLW Outdoors has announced entry dates for the 2009 Walmart Bass Fishing League, the nation’s largest and most rewarding weekend bass-fishing circuit featuring more than $9 million in prize money distributed through 28 geographic divisions.
ANCIENT LAKE STURGEON NO LONGER HISTORY IN GEORGIA
CALHOUN, GEORGIA – The once eliminated, prehistoric-looking lake sturgeon is making a return to Georgia’s waters. Decades have passed since these fish, described by some as "shark-like" and "weird," inhabited their native waters in the Coosa River Basin and Etowah River. Thanks to recent stocking efforts, the species now has a chance to reestablish a population and one day thrive again in these Georgia rivers.
SNOOK SEASONS CLOSE IN DECEMBER
There are two snook harvest seasons closing in December. The first snook closure starts on December 1 in all of Florida?s Gulf of Mexico, Everglades National Park and Monroe County coastal and inland waters. The harvest season for snook will remain closed until March 1 in these areas.
